This GAOTD does the job quite well, but if you had installed "Process Lasso" when it was offered here for FREE a few weeks ago, you don't need this tool because "Process Lasso" is far superior in my view.
It comes with a nice auto-start and services module, which helps you get rid of unneeded services, but the freeware and portable app " " does the same and even more for FREE (besides award-winning WinPatrol, of course), since it can even detect malicious rootkit services hidden behind legitimate Windows services running Local System privileges:

Overall today's giveaway is a good product, but in my opinion this kind of programs are very effective only for old machines with old and slow CPU, so if you have a DUAL CORE or a QUADCORE PC/LAPTOP just skip it!!

As you see, some years old, but usefull!

Don't expect too much of this program; most programs cannot run across all cores as the compilers have no idea the sequence of events, where they really come into their own is when the program handles large amounts of data such as video.
In this type of scenario the data can be split into chunks and the operations performed on the data.
Personally I'm having trouble getting this program to run, possibly because I blocked certain aspects of it with Winpatrol.
Warning, this program requires your working email for registration.
Then expect multiple "personal upgrade offers" from Ashampoo every week.
Win XP SP3
I already have Process Lasso Pro v6502 which appears to do the same thing.
Does anyone have a comparison of the two which is best, and can you install Ashampoo Core Tuner 2 Ver.2.01 and Process Lasso without any conflict ?

met een IQ (ik meen van 136),had je dit al veel
eerder kunnen doen,maar ik denk dat je er nu zelf

@Adriaan, ik denk dat dit programma voor dual cores niet echt veel zal doen idd, echter quad en 8core (hoe heet dat eigenlijk..octocore? lol) kan het wel eens handig voor zijn. dit proces voor core 1 en 2, dat proces voor core 3 en 4.. zie je de mogelijkheden nu?
@frans, ja er zijn methodes om utorrent te versnellen, ik heb daar nooit gebruik van gemaakt omdat het vinden van virus vrije accelerators bijna onmogelijk is. en zoals al gezegd, het aantal actieve seeders telt mee en dan ook nog hoe die seeders hun snelheid hebben.
Ik weet bijvoorbeeld dat veel films en games van DivxNL en DutchReleases welliswaar weinig seeders hebben maar over het algemeen dan toch met 4 a 5 mb per sec binnenkomen terwijl sommige 1337.org torrents met 1000+ seeders soms maar een halve mb halen

De beperkende factor bij torrent downloads zit vaak (o.a.) in de uploadcapaciteit van de torrents zelf (er speelt meeer mee, maar dat laat ik even buiten beschouwing). Je kan aan de procesprioriteiten op je eigen pc schroeven en sleutelen, maar daar zit de beperkende factor niet dus zul je met dit prog. niet sneller torents kunnen downloaden.

Ik heb ook uTorrent en de ene torrent download aan meer dan 4 MB/s terwijl een andere aan maar enkele KB/s download. Dit programma gaat daar echt niets aan veranderen.
