Not to put a damper on this software, but rather to set realistic expectations.
Data recovery is a pretty messy activity, and though programs are very useful, some of it requires a knowledgeable human, and even then, there are plenty of reasons why files are either unrecoverable, or only partially recoverable. (Partial, as in you literally only get part of the file back.)
A tool like this CAN be very useful, but it is in no means a substitute for having backups, including backups not on the same machine.
If it's important, have backups! And yes, I used a plural there.
As techies can tell you, the 3 rules of computing are:
1 - Backup
2 - BACKUP
3 - See rules 1 & 2

Along those same lines, a common joke among techies is,
"So when did your data become important to you, before or after you lost it?".

I hope this gets the point across about backups, and again, that doesn't diminish the value of a recovery program, but they have limits. (Probably the biggest single limit is when the computer or drive in no longer functional...)
(Yes, people actually do ask if software can restore broken hardware.)
