UPDATES here are not FREE...and if there are FREEWARE programs out there which do more or less the same thing for FREE, 100 BUCKS for a program like this is sheer madness in my humble view.

So you are suggesting that we should say that every GAOTD given away here on a daily basis is FANTASTIC and no criticism about it is allowed otherwise we may get free junk only as "revenge" against our comments? LOL..Are you serious dude?? How about skip reading them if you don't like or disagree with them?
In my view, comments made by me, Mike, Ashraf etc.... can actually improve the quality of the GAOTDs, because they force GAOTD developers to add more unique features to their programs, which cannot be found in FREE alternatives mentioned by me, Ashraf etc..., so that to make them more attractive.
The problem here is, if ever, the GAOTD rating system which is in my opinion nearly always manipulated probably by competitors on a daily basis: this could actually lead to the risk you mentioned above, instead of my comments.
As for today's giveaway it seems to me a nice product which does what it claims pretty well.
But once again I noticed an incredible amount of THUMBS UP given to this product in a few minutes time, exactly as occurred for every other AISEESOFT previuos release. This sounds fishy to me.
Another strange thing is that ANY AISEESOFT product has ever been listed on SOFTPEDIA so far and I wonder why!!
100 bucks for a i-tunes backup utility is pure madness in my view, if you think that the most advanced professional security programs out there like NORTON and BITDEFENDER costs almost half price.

Paul (#6): More puzzling is the fact that by day's end, this software will pass the 1000 thumbs up mark. Aiseesoft is the only company I've seen do this, despite the mediocre reception their software always receives in the comments, even with obvious shill comments. Add to this the dubious awards they claim and generic user "testimonials" and you have the shadiest developer ever to grace this site. I don't even care if the software works. Because of Aieesoft's shady tactics I refuse to even try their products on principle alone. They are not trustworthy as far as I'm concerned.
This isn't a cheerleading fan site. People are free to express their opinions. And while there are some regular commenters here whose opinion I have faith in, I will decide for myself whether I'll try out the software and what rating I'll give it. In the case of Aieesoft, I'll simply wait for something I'm interested in (and can trust) to come along. Others are free to do as they like.
Try it to find two of my pictures that I lost or delete from my iPhone 4. Successfully install and active it on my computer with win 7 64bits. I can easily find the backup files of my iPhone 4 and find the pictures I want. I can also see the backup files of my iTouch. Nice software and very easy to use. Thanks GOTD and Aiseesoft.

Ik zou dit heel jammer vinden.
Er zijn nogal wat personen,die het niet eens zijn met jouw werkwijze,
maar hou gewoon in gedachte, I did it my way, en dat geldt denk ik

Zelf heb ik een map (programma's)op het bureaublad gemaakt,
en daar alle snelkoppelingen in gezet, voordeel op alfabet,
en nagenoeg een leeg bureaublad.
Verder zijn er maar weinig programma's die ik direct laat
opstarten, eigenlijk alleen AVG en VM,en als ik op het
internet ga, dan altijd met een account met beperkte rechten.
Je zou gewoon kunnen overwegen om een nieuw account te maken,met
beperkte rechten en alleen een virusscanner en internet en email
en screenshot,en als je iets wilt testen, ga je naar je gebruikelijke
account met volledige rechten.
Omdat jezelf zegt "Computeren, anders dan ermee experimenteren was tochal niets voor mij",is dit misschien toch de moeite waard,
om uit te proberen.

Willem b. ik heb het, te beginnen mintens een jaar geleden, al ten minste vijf keer gezegd, dat je autostartup gewoon veel te veel progs bevat, gelukkig hoor je het nu ook van anderen. Als je niet drastich hier met de bezem door gaat (ja, het doet pijn al die geliefde progjes die je ook handmatig kunt opstarten als je ze nodig hebt) wordt het nooit meer iets met die puter van jou.
Wel leuk te zien hoe smaken kunnen verschillen. Waar ik mijn desktop zo leeg mogelijk probeer te houden, wil jij die blijkbaar zo vol mogelijk gooien. Ter overweginig, jij hebt een ander profiel dan je eega. Als je desktop behalve shortcuts ook complete progs bevat, dan is dat een zwaar profiel om mee te starten. Dan dus ook leeg maken die ehh... romme...desktop. :)

Algemene mededeling: 39 schreef ik zonder voorgaande nog in moderatie staaande te hebben gezien. En teruggaande naar het flassie ging ineens bij mij het licht aan. Namelijk dat mijn hele bureaublad was meegenomen en ik ook na Lidl1 maar denken waar heeft ze het over. Alleen het middelvenster was de bedoeling!!!!. Nou ja, het was toen ook al middernacht en ik niet meer zo helder.
Conclusie: ik trek me een geruime tijd helemaal terug. Computeren, anders dan ermee experimenteren was toch al niets voor mij. Ik richt me weer wat toch mijn vakgebied was, de Natuurkunde als wetenschap en eraan vastknopend hemel, sterren en heelal. By the way, Vrijdag a.s. scheert die asteroide rakelings langs de Aarde.
Mijn eerste gedacht was: wat zouden we moeten met zoveel water. We gaan al bijna kopje onder. En daarom nog eenmaal een link van mij en dan: Adieu wij moeten elkander groeten, adieu vaarwel!
Alleen toch nog dit: mijn Browsers heb ik alle nu werkend gekregen. Na Chrome en Opera, nu ook FF en I.E.

Dank Luc, een positieve opmerking, daar kan ik wat mee. Heb er helemaal overheen gekeken dat die twee aantallen hetzelfde waren. Vond het zo makkelijk, bij aanzetten computer te zien dat windows nu weer herstart was (of zoiets). Ging toch altijd goed. Nu uitgeschakeld, zal het met stand by moeten doen.
Ashampoo vindt nauwelijk iets meer om te optimizen behalve onder Internet: 1 byte. na Optimize 0. Direct nieuwe scan en weer 1 byte. Niet weg te krijgen.
Wat een stilte vandaag, de oude garde is al voorzien dat blijkt wel.

Programma is niet interressant voor mij; ik heb gelukkig niets met Apple of Itunes te maken en dat wil ik graag zo houden...
@5 OT Ik zie hetzelfde als lidl1 en ben het eens met Lidl1: dit kan niet goed gaan op 1 computer: ik noem er maar een paar Wisecare365, Tuneup 1 click, Ashampoo winoptimizer, pc speed maximizer.... En die giga waslijst met opstartprogramma´s: gedemonstreerd door 96 auto-opstart ingangen: het is een wonder dat je pc nog werkt.
Het vervelende is dat weghalen van de overbodige troep waarschijnlijk ook problemen zal geven, zoals die gratis mediaplayer codecs.

@1 Willem Uw computer heeft 1014 MB geheugen en uw slaapstand gebruikt permanent 1014 MB. Probeer eens met uitgeschakelde slaapstand.
Dit kun je altijd weer inschakelen.

@ Lidl1, waar hebt u het over? Quickpar, nooit van gehoord.
Temp 52 graden lijkt me inderdaad wat hoog maar wel normaal in een goed verwarmd vertrek en 3 of 4 tune's up en een tig aantal in de taakbalk? U ziet dan meer dan ik. Een wat minder cryptische omschrijving wordt hogelijk op prijs gesteld met dank.

Zelf ben ik ook wetenschapper en wel in die zin dat als ik de screenbeam van @1 bekijk, ik er van overtuigd ben dat een dusdanig aantal programma's actief in je taakbalk, een HD temp van 52 graden, een tig aantal "speedup- tuneup-, dacht er zo iets van 3-4 te zien, draaiende programma's die elkaar mogelijk flink "bijten", je pjoetertje gaat haperen en de geest geeft tot een nieuwe install van je OS... :-D Om maar te zwijgen van quickpar welke digibeet heeft dat :?: Of is eega aan't klooien...
Deze app van Aiseesoft is prima maar zonder Apple hardware ie. phone;pads;pods enz niet interessant voor een ieder.
Voor mij in ieder geval wel en wel zo dat er een VM komt via bekende kanalen.
