Programma geprobeert, maar het programma is voor mij niet bruikbaar. Veel grafische opsmuk van vensters (traag!), waarbij het weergeven ook nogal eens verkeerd gaat : halve vensters, stukken bureaublad zichtbaar door het hoofdvenster etc. (soms is uit de wirwar niet meer te komen en heb ik het programma gewoon moeten sluiten). Overigens, de creatieve opties vind ik per onderdeel weer te beperkt: Paar keer geprobeerd een kalender te maken: geen idee waar ze terecht zijn gekomen, programma zegt klaar te zijn, maar ik kan de bestanden (ik neem aan dat dit ook JPEGS´s zijn), noch enige verwijzing naar de bestanden, nergens vinden. Gedeinstalleerd.

Voor muziekliefhebbers, anders overslaan zoals Misty het altijd zo bescheiden zegt: Dave Brubeck op 91-jarige leeftijd overleden. Nu met zijn overgetelijk Take Five nog een keer. Maar let ook op de drummer Jo Morello!

Heeft iemand nog geprobeeerd of de download van de leverancier ook geactiveerd kan worden met de aangevraagde key?

Na installatie neemt dit programma 160,54 MB van het beschikbare geheugen in. Het is een groot programma, maar het heeft ook dito mogelijkheden.
En indien dit voor iemand iets zou uitmaken: neen, het zit vandaag niet in een GOTD wrapper.

Volgens mij had Ashampoo meestal al geen wrapper voor themida. Fijne sinterklaas allemaal. Bedankt voor alle hulp en adviezen.

Het is een behoorlijke download van ~128Mb.
Dit is versie 9; je kunt met korting nummer 10 ophalen.
Bij het registreren er even op letten, dat je niet automatisch de nieuwsbrief krijgt. Ze hebben namelijk nog al veel aanbiedingen.

Zonet even gekeken en het lijkt net alsof er geen Themida op zit.
Gewoon registreren en er komt snel een nummer.

The recipe is simple: give a previous version of your software for free and wait for people to upgrade to current version. Money involved, of course.
Untill then bombard them with 'special offers' which will make them think 'how much this software actually cost?'.

I would like to get this software today, but I want to avoid all the mess I would get with it. I voted down because of aggressive way this company acts.

BTW if you want to encourage future customers, please give for free current versions of your softwares, not fake stuff to catch some fish.

Photo Commander 9 is very similar multipane browser as the newest Zonar and ACDSee products. It seems that each has it's specialties. I think this one is far superior in the rather excessive file organization options.

Burning disks - printing thumbnails - finding duplicates - browsing pics and previewing movies... this program is a big monster of stuff jammed into one interface. I would usually give it to ACDSee for having the better image handling, but I haven't played with this one and found all the tools. Take you all day just to figure out everything this does. I would still recommend Photoshop or Gimp if you are looking for a full batch of image processing tools. But this one has lots of options and tools.

It's a bit slower in some processes and even in just browsing. But it's not crippled. You may notice the thumbnails coming up differently and lagging a tiny bit. There is publishing options - lots of them, although I didn't see the Facebook/Social site integration like Zonar.

You can set the skin to "Dark" because the 1999 era default white window frames are just horrible. It should be set dark by default. "Dark" is still a bit lighter than the others (kind of a slate grey color).

Overall - I would describe this program as A BEHEMOTH - and you'll find out why it took a little more than most GAOTD programs to download!

REGARDING ALL THE GRIEF ABOUT REGISTRATION:

If you let them send you emails, you'll be able to participate in their "name your price" deals, and other really cheap bargain deals.

I get 1 or 2 emails a week, and you can delete them in bulk after several months - you can stop them, but it's not an issue if you don't - I don't see why people complain about it.

They don't "Spam" and they aren't selling you off to others - thats the typical users lying that happens here when people don't like registering. Get over it and give out your email. Register once and you won't ever need to again with future GAOTD deals - there's absolutely no reason to pretend that you are a victim with these folks. I got today's key by providing my email and password login that I normally use on their site. They added the key to my account -get it done - this way is actually superior.

I have now bought a few items from them, and got them at unbelievable prices. As much as you want to believe there is a free version of everything you can put in your machine - there is a few products from Ashampoo that are well worth the price when they discount them.

ALTERNATIVES:

If you miss this deal, or if you do want something similar to today's deal that's free, I highly recommend the Zonar Photo Studio Free version...

I downloaded but haven't installed this yet, from the documentation it appears pretty basic. As usual, there's already a newer version with more features. If you're interested in Ashampoo products, note that they're running a very short-term special. You can choose from a list of ten of their products, including Photo Commander 10. You can choose the lesser of 5 items or $100 total list price for $20.

As to the spamm: Yes it is annoying.
But you can stop it completely when you log in to your accont and deselect all newsletter. That works reliable - until you register the next Ashampoo program. Than you have to do it again.
