This is or better yet WAS one of the best PC TUNE UP utilities out there to keep users' PC in top shape.

But now there's absolutely no point to download an app like this for 2 simple reasons:

1) because there are FREEWARE ALTERNATIVES out there (see below for more details) even better than this GAOTD

2) because as every GAOTD offered here it cannot be updated to an enhanced version, unless you pay an extra charge for it!

So, all things considered, my suggestion to GAOTD team is to focus their attention on LESS SATURATED fields than this, otherwise the mission on the basis of which this marellous service was launched a few years ago could actually go o the dogs for good!!!

This looks like a great offer at first but if you look a little deeper you will see it is aimed to sell Winoptimizer 9. First off there is no "Winoptimizer 2012" listed on their web site. So what are we getting? Then there's the offer to for a special upgrade to Winoptimizer 9 for $11.99 that is offered during the installation. A nice offer until you realize this is actually the normal upgrade price for Winoptimizer 9. So my guess is that "Winoptimizer 2012" is most likely an older version in disguise. Perhaps it's version 8 who knows? Don't get me wrong, it will be good software but certainly not the latest.

A word of caution to all who wants to install this and other Ashampoo software. Durin the installation process the software willl install Ashampoo's version of the Consuit Toolbar, which is a very nasty Ad Pushing software that maks different intrusive ads appear on your screen at all times and almost impossible to uninstall once it is installed. Make sure you uncheck any of the options that allows the software to install the Ashampoo Toolbar. Do not choose the default installatin option. Apart from this nasty feature, Ashampoo software are all pretty nice and useful as the claimed to be. I personally already have the Ashmapoo WinOptimizer 9 installed in all of my PCs and notebooks (about 10 units at home and at work) and they are used regularly together with TuneUp Utilities 2013 and Wise Care 365 v2.06. Cheers!

Love Ashampoo products and have many. Kinda curious how this version 2012 is different than the 'latest' version on their web, version 9. And, after install of 2012, I was offered to 'upgrade' to version 9. This offer to upgrade is also posted above on this page at a discount but no comments as to what is missing in 2012 instead of 9. And, with no mention of 2012 on their website - hard to determine if an upgrade is needed or worth it. Odd stance from Ashampoo that I have not seen before. But, thanks Ashampoo and GAOTD for this offer today!

Just to be clear here: Ashampoo WinOptimizer 2012 does not exist. It's a confusingly titled piece of promotional software that has never been on sale at $39.95 and never will be. Ignore, then, the page-top text about The program is available for $39.99 (for WinOptimizer 9), but it will be free for our visitors as a time-limited offer. It is not WinOptimizer 9 and trying to pretend that it is, is downright silly -- especially as a none time-limited freeware version of WinOptimizer is always available from Ashampoo itself:

Ashampoo's sales gimmicks are many and varied but it's a pity GAOTD is being recruited as a platform.
