The problem with ultra-basic macro recording programs like this one is that they record your mouse clicks and key presses and replay them stupidly. Instead of doing that, a good macro recorder should inspect what is running in your system, and redirect the mouse and keyboard events to the application that has received them when the macro was recorded. And if that application is not running, it should refuse to play the macro, and issue an error message explaining the problem.
Since it's not the case with this GOTD, it is useless, and even dangerous. Sending mouse clicks without being sure that the right app will receive them is indeed terribly dangerous. For example, if you have recorded a macro that accepts a dialog, and when you replay it, another dialog is open at the same location, it will accept the wrong dialog. Imagine the disaster if the new dialog is "Format hard disc. Are you sure?"!
Also, note that all macro recording apps are dangerous for another reason: they can be considered as spywares, as they record what you type, including your passwords. A good antivirus should therefore at least flag them as a potentially dangerous application. Of course, you may want to trust the company that did the program, but anyway, you should not ignore the risk.
IMO, to do a good job, you need a real language, such as AutoHotkey (http://www.autohotkey.com/). With AutoHotkey, you can do almost anything, but of course you have to learn the language and write your macro. (It has a simple macro recorder that is not as powerful as the language itself, but you can use it to generate a basic script, and edit it later to suit your needs.) I highly recommend AutoHotkey. It is free, and has a great forum where you can request any help.
Nice basic macro program, but no single "if" command makes it useless for me. If any program lags, macro wont notice it. Seting highest delays expected is not time efficient. Please add at least "if pixel color or if window open"
I have never seen any macro recorder really working or which is easy for an average user. The mouse click is recognised only when the screen cordinates match.
Just make a mouse click with a window maximized and repeat when the window is smaller. It will not work
Fun program, but when i tested in VirtualPC it didnt correct for screen change from 800x600 to 1024x768. Nothing was in place for mouseclicks.
Poor #9, Macro Processors for Games, and #2
Sorry, but I just *have* to complain. I've gotten so tired of seeing negative, offensive comments in our GAOTD community -- like #9's comment about #2. I find people's comments one of the best features of this site, and I welcome them all, even if they don't particuarly add value to me personally. Why would anyone want to discourage a first-time contributor rather than help them? Why would anyone want to ridicule the person -- not the person's question, mind you, but the *person* -- just because their comment/question doesn't appeal to you? We don't need such stuff on GAOTD, IMHO. Besides, he *said* it was his first post and that he *hoped* it was a good one!
Cutting to the chase I like RoboTask for developing gaming macros. It's very powerful and easy to learn. Yes, some game companies have a problem with bots, but writing keyboard/mouse macros to automate something that's already allowed in a game is no problem. There's a difference between bots designed for cheating and macros designed to help. Game companies do *not* mind macros that help you grind, as far as I know. So, I'd recommend RoboTask. I've written quite a few gaming macros with it, especially for my fishermen in Dofus!
Also, playing computer games is an excellent way to study, learn, and research AI, bots (NPCs), 3D graphics, agents, artificial dialogs, social computing, and much more. I've taught game design and theory at the graduate level in Europe, and some of our brightest students were not only avid gamers but had developed entire game systems of their own! Wow!
Finally, itdontwork, thanks for making your first post here on GAOTD. Comments and questions from GAOTD's fans are a very valuable part of this site. It's sometimes intimidating to jump into the fray because of people like Sooks. But please ignore him (and any others like him). For some reason, they seem to thrive on hating, belittling, and ridiculing. Not sure why Sooks couldn't have been content with clicking "no" on the "useful" question, but most likely he was more interested in pontificating than creating value for the rest of us who frequent this site. Too bad he screwed up so badly by being so ignorant. Anyway, please keep posting comments and questions here about GAOTD's offerings. If we don't like them---or you don't like mine--we can all simply click on the "not useful" link (something I'm sure numerous people are going to do to this post! :-)

Aan Sara, wat een geinige site waarin ik terecht kwam.Had er wel eens iets over gehoord (klok horen luiden enz.)maar wist er niet het fijne
niet van. Zal er vaker naar toe gaan, ook al zit ik qua leeftijd ver boven de doelgroep. Trowens wat een woord, dat doelgroep. Voor van en nog wat is er een doelgroep. Koot en Bie zouden hier een prachtige persiflage op hebben kunnen maken. GFED schijnt dus bij de ingewijden een bekend woord te zijn. Reactie schrijf ik pas uren later want veel te mooi weer om halve dagen achter een computer te zitten. Groet,

Heb 't gevoel dat er een luchtje zit aan de website van de aanbieders.
Volgens die basis-website (flashplayerpro), waar easy macro recorder een mapje heeft, zijn zij ook de aanbieders van DriverMagician (firma GoldSolution Inc.)
Zij bieden Driver magician versie 3.49 aan, d.d. maart 2010. (gewoon als betaald prog)
Maar dat progr heeft een eigen heel andere site, en daar is het 'n veel hogere versie, en uit 2011.
Ook raar om op een site voor een Flashplayer Pro, in een mapje een ander progr aan te bieden... Als je bonafide bent, zet je op de homepage welke producten je biedt, en daarachter afzonderlijke pagina's voor elk van die producten. En noem je je site ofwel naar je firma, ofwel naar dat product.
De site, waar hier naar verwezen wordt, is zowiezo van de meest simpele en saaie soort; al met al vertrouw ik het niet.
krijg 't idee dat er phishing-luchtje zit aan degenen die dit progr als gaotd aanbieden.

@1: Volgens mij staat de "FE" voor "For Ever". Omdat de trialversie te registreren is met de data uit de readme van de GOTD kan je het programma niet enkel gisteren registreren ( om even een tegenwoordig verleden te gebruiken...)

Omdat ik gisteren nog steeds bezig was met het herstellen van de kuren van AVAST (nu nog mijn 1394 Wi-fi verbinding verdwenen) kon ik niet meer reageren op het brand programma.
Ben het dit keer eens niet met @^@ eens dat dit de domste registratie is ooit. Wat is er mis als je ziet naast elkaar: activate, buy, try?Zelfs als je je vergist dan kun je nog gewoon terug.
By the way, wat is een GFED? (commentaar bij Brilie). Nu voor het eerst iets waarop Google met onzin reageert.
Verder schijnt er toch veel interesse voor dit simpele prog te zijn geweest. Gisteren telkens het beruchte "failed te connect, please try later again"
Maar vanochtend was de server ver na 9 u. nog in de lucht en kwam het in minder dan minuten klaar.
En jawel, ik werk nog steeds in safe mode met Lan verbinding mogelijkhgeid. De verwoesting die AVAST heeft aangericht is onvoorstelbaar. Begrijp nu dat Sandy eens schreef dat Avast nog steeds niet goed werkte. Groet van
