My first thought was, well that's expensive for a database.

On opening a really pleasant interface, with a number of viewing options, thumbs view, card view, shelf view, album view and tracks view.
Some of these show thumbnails of the album cover, the layout is really pleasing.

Decided to have a look at how to add my music to the database, my music consists of one CD and a few singles on my hard drive and there was no way I could see of adding from the hard drive.
There was the ability to do it by barcode, inserting a CD, again, search in Amazon.com and a few others similar,search by artist/release name, the latter totally confused me as to what it did.

Quite a number of people, including myself, prefer tapes rather than CD because of the rather warmer sound and there was no allowance for this preference.

It does statistics and bits and pieces which are of no interest to me, to be honest music plays only a minuscule part of my life as I detest background music.

On the other hand music lovers have vast collections and they need very versatile methods of including them in their database, this program fails very badly in this department.

It is in fact a very attractive looking database with a number of methods of viewing but it hardly justifies the cost in my opinion.

I looked at my past notes and realised that I did try this giveaway software My Music Collection by Nuclear Coffee before on 17 December 2014 and according to my notes, it was lousy. So I will skip this.

Tried to add from hard drive , no chance , no add from button there . Would be a lot better program if it would just search for music already on the pc . Sadly not what I wanted , uninstalling

As an old-timer and musician, I have a vast vinyl collection (no way to beat the sound) which cannot be easily catalogued. I would love to have a program wherein I could merely add the label and number (eg. London Phase 4; 10010) and have the program catalog the composer, composition title, conductor, orchestra, special attributes (promo, first-recordings, direct-to-disk, soloists, etc.), and any other pertinent information. With vinyl rightly making a comeback, there is a growing need for such a program. Unfortunately, most old vinyl records do not have UPC codes. As it stands now, I have to use an Excel database to catalog my collection. With the increasing cost of even old vinyl, cataloging even for insurance purposes would make such a program valuable.
