Warning: Before installing todays giveaway, be warned that it comes with an unexpected "bonus".
If you accept the default options during installation you will get a toolbar (called Star Search).
While I am not against developers making money - I would hope that they do it through increased sales because their product is good, not because they sneak a toolbar into their install and disguise it's presence by giving it an obscure name.
Then when the user notices that their browser has been screwed with and asks why did you install this stuff - they respond "Because you don't unselect check box Install SkyMediaPack on StarBurn installation page:". That's right... it's YOUR FAULT.
So make sure you follow the installation instructions in the StarBurn forums if you don't want to have your browser settings changed and a new parasite toolbar added to your system.
Don't install "SkyMediaPack" (which is a code word for "change home page and install unwanted toolbar). It's one thing to 'read instructions' it's another to 'invent a name' and provide no further information as to whether it is an unwanted optional extra - or a useful part of the product.
A description explaining what was being installed (including the words "optional toolbar" and "replace default seach engine") would be appreciated by many users who didn't intuitively know what "SkyMediaPack" was. The choice to install SkyMediaPack should be opt-in and not set to install by default.

As an example of someone who does something similar but in a 100% better way by actually letting the user make an informed decision:-
look at the install screen of MessengerPlus! -> View Screenshot -> and They Explain!
The last time this was offered, it jacked your homepage & changed it to theirs. Fool me onc, its on me fool me twice &,..........! Well, you get the picture. Theres absolutely zero excuse for behavior like that. As handy as this could be on my 64 bit Vista system, I'm not going for it for that reason only.
Installation requires a compulsory closing of your browser either voluntarily or forcibly !! after which it is restarted.
Why should the installation mess with the active browser?
As Vikram said, one of the best cd/dvd burning applications, and in my opinion the best alongside nero - a GREAT download, however unfortunately the skywebsearch toolbar was selected by default (and it got installed), which i class as adware because it hijacked my homepage. I reinstalled it without the toolbar :)

Should be noted that this software is adware as it installs SkySearch Toolbar to your browser, which strangely enough, the uninstall button is greyed out on my FireFox browser. (Not very friendly when they do that)
Not only that, but when FireFox reopened it lost all my tabs from the previous session! (That's not very nice!)

Idd.. kwam ik ook iets te laat achter.
Deze ongevraagde searchbar wordt je zonder te vragen geinstalleerd en past je searchpagina aan naar skysearch. En dit is dan bijna een kopie van de Google pagina.
Rotzooi dus.
Gelukkig te deinstalleren via Software Uninstall.
Wel even register nagelopen en elke verwijzing verwijderd.

Ik laat ook deze aan mij voorbij gaan, het lijkt me wel een fijn/goed programma maar ook bij deze vind ik het standaard-programma wat erop zat goed genoeg ;)

Pas op bij het installeren: Er wordt ook een programma Skysearch geïnstalleerd! Dat wijzigt de startpagina van IE en van Firefox!!! Het ziet eruit als Google search maar is mogelijk een search-phishing site?!

Geweldig programma!
Ik gebruik versie 10 op dit moment, dus ik ga hem maar eens updaten. De nieuwe drag en drop-functie lijkt me idd handig.
Ps. Ik gebruik ook Windows 7 RC, en het werkt zeer goed!

Denk er bij het installeren even aan om in ieder geval het vinkje weg te halen bij SkyMediaPack!
Dit is namelijk een toolbar en verandert eveneens je startpagina.

Ik heb hier nog versie 10 en heb daar goede ervaring mee. Nadeel is wel dat je telkens door een wizard heen moet, wat niet erg is als je maar 1 cd/dvd wilt branden maar als het er meer zijn is het heel vervelend. Volgens de beschrijving zit er in versie 12 nu een drag and drop functie. Ga hem toch maar eens proberen.
