Big download, activation key by email arrived within a couple minutes. Installed fine (Win7/64). This is a full featured, very impressive design tool! It is complex with a medium to high level learning curve for novices, seems to be fairly intuitive for advanced designers with large colorful icon driven tabbed top ribbons which lead to drop down and pop-up modifiers. One feature I found very nice was the ability to switch between views for Desktop, Tablet and Mobile so that you can preview how your pages look on different platforms. On launch it loads thumbnails of who knows how many templates as it loads as you scroll down and I didn't make it to the bottom. Documentation seems to be simplified descriptions of what the tabs/buttons do with lots of graphics. If you are a beginner, this tool is wonderful option for diving into the design of pages but be ready to spend some time exploring and experimenting. If you are like me, a hobbyist, it is definitely a tool to add to your software shed, a real keeper.
Some issues encountered: 1. On clicking the CSS icon, TT crashed. 2. On relaunch, shows 'Upgrade for $50, 30 Day Trial' and when I try to activate it says it is already activated and won't accept code (Activation Code:NA, Mode:Trial) but at least the CSS editor shows up, even if it doesn't allow saving. Re-requested code, sent same one with same results. Requested with different email, same code. Uninstalled/reinstalled, same issue. Hopefully this is resolved. Uninstalling permanently to await resolution later today.
Thank you to GAOTD and Template Toaster for this super software, might even be worth the $50 later to upgrade actually.
Wordpress is one of the easiest website 'systems' out there. Go back a couple of years, and to change content on a website, you had to know at least basic HTML (even if you only wanted to change text between P tags, you had to know what a closing P tag was...) Once you'd done that, you had to grapple with FTP to send your file on your PC to the website host. Aah, but you didn't just change an HTML file - you also tweaked a CSS file. Now where did that live? And now why does that JPG look weird? Argh - when you designed it, the software was showing you the page based on IE .. you're using Chrome ... the page looks all messed up! And that page is now live! Quick - edit again!
Wordpress is as easy as editing a Word document (full WYSIWYG - what you see is what you get) and click 'Update'. Job done. The page should look the same across (most*) browsers and also (dependng on the theme) across all devices - tablets, phones and PCs. Also, at a click of a button, the whole website theme can be changed. 'In the old days', as everything was hand crafted in HTML, if you said, "I don't like this website - lets try something different" it could take months to design a new site.
Thankfully too, hosting a website is dead cheap. Most packages are less than 50 GBP for a years hosting - even less if you have a small website. A lot of people have small businesses, and none should be without a website. So many people turn to online search engines when looking for a local tradesman (sorry ... tradesperson). Need a new cushion? There must be someone local. Searching online takes 3 words.
This software is similar to Artisteer which easily allows you to create new themes for your website. Fashions come and go, and the current fashion is for a website to be a huge long page, similar to the "Sign up now for this Hammer! Yes, its a hammer! You can bang in nails! Only $39.99" type pages. Urgh.
Responsive themes ensure your website looks great on a tablet, phone and normal desktop. Some website creation software like Serif WebPlus creates different sites for each device. This is bad practice, as it can lead to errors - changed some text? Now change it on your other sites to sync them. Urgh.
This software is quick and easy to use, but the templates generated won't win any design awards. However, the end result will be better than if you used 'generic' free templates found around the web.

Just a note on price...
'The program is available for $149.00' statement at top of GOTD page is not strictly true, as it refers to version 6.
The giveaway here is an older V5 from last year.

Installation and KEY request and receival was flawless. The e-mail with the KEY took about 5 to 10 minutes to arrive.
NOW, opening the software and entering the license is another matter!!
The screen that opens is the first one that's presented above, right under the clock : start at the left ( that does nothing ) and all options of themes to design - Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress etc. and that's it. No menu, no nothing!! As it is a transparent FULL screen, there is a minimizing icon and the X icon that are placed in the far right top corner of the desktop. Pressing the X exits. Pressing the keys alt+F4 also exits.
Well, and now what??????
Press any of the Windows 8 stile tiles. I pressed the Wordpress one.
Now appears the second image that's right below the clock above.
NOW is the tricky part. YOU MUST select any one of the themes being presented on this screen, right below the Go With Sample Templates!! OR press the Start from Scratch on the left and then the Start button on next screen.
AND NOW you really enter the program's main screen.
On the top left you have some Undo, Redo, Save etc icons and right bellow a serie of menus, like File, General, Body, Page etc. Press the File one that's in purple color. The third item from below to top is the activation one. Press it, enter the activation key you received in the email ( I copied and pasted it with no problems ), and your done!!!
All these instructions should have been on the readme.txt, BUT they are not.

Gave truc! Ik heb het uitgeprobeerd met de Avant browser. Die browser met een ingebouwd kaboutertje, zoals hr A te B heeft. Want het lijkt alsof hij met die browser ook zonder cookies en zonder FaceBook of mail naar Giveawayoftheday het programma van de dag kan ophalen. Helaas is dat kaboutertje bij mij niet meegekomen bij de installatie van de Chinese Avant browser. Want als ik alle cookies van die browser wis, kan ik daarna echt niet de zip meer ophalen. Met de truc van Whiterabbit-uk lukt het wel. De schrijver van de code van giveawayoftheday.com heeft niet voldoende als boef gedacht, want hij plaatst het toestemmingscookie al direct als je op de FB-knop drukt en niet pas als je inderdaad wat op je FB-pagina hebt geplaatst. Maar misschien is dat ook niet nodig en krijgt Giveawayoftheday al minicentjes van Facebook als er al op die knop is gedrukt.
Het is niet de eerste keer dat ik moet ervaren dat hr A te B een heel bijzondere installatie heeft die dingen doet die andere mensen met dezelfde hardware, hetzelfde OS en dezelfde software niet kunnen dupliceren. We moeten deze man dus koesteren, want hij toont ons een wereld waar wij slechts van kunnen dromen.

Een mooi programma voor wie WYSIWYG nodig heeft om een webpagina te maken.
Eigen aan dergelijke programma's is dat de code een ontzettend groot veelvoud is van de code je die zelf zou ingeven om hetzelfde resultaat te bekomen.
Het responsive webdesign is zeker een troef voor beginners: je ontwerpt tegelijkertijd voor desktop, tablet en smartphone.
De templates gebruik je beter niet indien je niet overal hetzelfde ontwerp wil tegenkomen.
Eigenaardig is wel dat het programma zichzelf prijst met de mededeling dat statische html-pagina's de prestaties bevorderen en de gevoeligheid voor kwetsbaarheden verminderen door geen scripts te gebruiken, terwijl de aangemaakte html-pagina's op jquery draaien en niet minder dan 10 scripts nodig hebben om te kunnen werken.
