PROS:
* Smooth download, installation, activation on Vista x32.
* Automatically detects computer's webcam devices & displays user's onscreen image capture.
* Offers 36 included photo-effects options, with ability to download more effects from website.
* Simple GUI, easy to navigate and capture images/videos.
* Provides options to (1) snap still photos, (2) shoot videos, (3) shoot continuously.
* Supports image formats: jpg, gif, bmp, png
* Supports video format: mpg
* Can upload images to Developer's website & YouTube.
CONS:
* No local Help file within program & no clear instructions on how to upload captured images/video to YouTube or Developer's website.
* Cannot re-size program window
* Image & Video-supported formats are limited to those noted above.
* Cost of program is high, compared with similar, equally-capable free & paid software.
Summary: Program is easy to use and does as it says, though instructions on how to upload to YouTube would be helpful - also, price tag is too steep, compared with equally-capable freeware and other paid programs. For these reasons, I would not recommend this program - but I do thank you (GOTD & Video Booth) for this nice offer.

I looked at their website to find that you can have the free version 2.3.2.8 : if you want the Pro you have to pay $ 29.99.
So far it is OK.
But the version from today Giveaway is 2.3.2.6 : it is older than the free and it is certainely not the Pro version!!!.
This is not the first time that a Company use our community of users with a false giveaway. We have better things to do than evaluate their public free version.
My suggestion is to stop right now this giveaway offer wich is not at all what this site is for.

Installed fine on Windows 7 (32 bit). A pity it's the same as their FREE version offered on their site rather than the PRO version that the screenshots above are from. It's nothing more than a advert but if you intend to keep it and need a reinstall at any point at least you can get the download from their site.
The program installed and registered by simply running the setup program. On opening it had found my web cam without any instructions on my part. The interface is extremely sparse with hardly any icons, but I was able to find my way around it without too much difficulty. There are quite a few effects available and I downloaded and attempted to install some more from their website, they installed but they did not appear as additional effects.
My real difficulties came when I attempted to record a video, when I stopped it my computer froze, and the only way to stop it was to physically turn the machine off.
I am probably going to uninstall it, a shame as it looked like it had potential. However it appears to be grossly overpriced!

Het weggevertje vandaag schrijft geen SN in het register, want het is gewoon de gratis versie van dit programma dat je elke dag kan downloaden.

Probleemloos geinstalleerd op Win7 x64.
Leuke opties, grappig tooltje, misschien dat ik hem ooit nog eens gebruik.
Geen vragen of info over SN te vinden in het programma..

Er zijn programma's/malware programma's, die dit kunnen.
Daarom trekken vele mensen hun webcam uit de PC.
Zelf heb ik bij mijn laptop mijn webcam afgeschermd met een stuk papier.
Anderen raad ik aan om een soort eierwarmer over de webcam te doen, omdat steeds in en uitsteken van de webcam het spul kapot gaat.
Meerdere keren gezien.

Maar in je taakbeheer zie je welke programma's actief zijn.
Informatie over alle verbindingen die openstaan zie je in een commandoprompt met het commando netstat.

Ik vind dit programma duidelijker beelden geven dan 'mijn' Cyberlink, maar er is een groot nadeel: de beelden zijn schokkerig en het beeld loopt achter bij het geluid. Voor fotootjes geeft dit niet, maar voor filmpjes (en die zijn natuurlijk toch vaak meer gewenst) is het een onoverkomelijk nadeel. Als iemand een oplossing heeft voor dit probleem (andere computerinstelling) zou ik het graag horen. Bij voorbaat mijn dank.

@3 het is een speeltje en kan voor kinderen grappig zijn om je filmpje op YouTube te zetten. Bijv. jezelf achter tralies, in de krant of op het journaal.
Dat kan dus heel snel met VideoBooth (en een laptop met camera of PC met webcam).

Ik zie het nut niet in van dit programma, dus ik laat hem maar voorbij gaan. Misschien dat iemand wel ene nut ervan inziet dan hoor ik het graag, misschien verander ik dan nog van mening.

Ik heb het programma geïnstalleerd.
Na een herstart wordt erom een SN gevraagd. Echter die zie ik niet.
Ook niet in de Readme file.
Bij instellingen staat de flicker nog op 50Hz. In Nl en vele andere landen is dat heden ten dage 60Hz.
Ik geloof, dat de sample frequentie van de video wat hoger zo mogen.
Nu lijkt het wat schokkerig te gaan.

Installeren gaat probleemloos. Rechts klikken op de bovenste balk geeft een menu waarin je opties kunt instellen.
Op http://www.my-video-booth.com/photo-demo.html vind je voorbeelden van wat je met de foto's kan doen.
Dit is versie 2.3.2.6. Het programma geeft aan je kunt updaten naar versie 2.3.2.8. Als je de update uitvoert vraagt het programma om een registratiecode. De pro-versie kost $29,95.
Kan het programma zelf niet uittesten: heb geen webcam.
