Well, if you need a tool to create tutorials, e-learning courses and How-To videos, this GAOTD does this job pretty well: can capture windows by hidden or partially visible captions, with built-in on-screen markup tools designed to add text, lines, arrows, frames, highlights and even circles over an object of your tutorials, so as to make them more appealing, clearer and easier to understand for your audience.
It's also able to add WATERMARKS over images in real time, applying different transparencies for it, as well as record what you see & hear from YouTube, Skype (chats, video conferences etc...), Webinars, WebCam chats etc... saving the output as an AVI file.
So overall, for what it does, I give it a THUMBS UP and highly recommend it to all of you (after all updates should not be necessary in the short-medium terms), even though an easier GUI would have been a better option for the average Joe users out there.

When I did, my key appeared instantly into my Hotmail inbox.
So how does this one work? Well I did not try all of the features but I tried the screen capture and that worked pretty well. I am sure you can find alternatives both free and paid for each element of this program. I may be wrong but I don't believe there are many alternative that can combine all of the components of this program. For that reason, this will be a keeper for me. Thank you to the GOTD team and to FileStream.
Simplify registration process. Why do you collect phone number and adresses?
To all: Just because dadams said "my key appeared instantly..." into his email box, doesn't mean that it will happen to you. I'm still waiting for mine.
OK. Received key in mail 20 minutes later. Don't have time to fully test this now, but be aware of one thing: even though you "close" the program, it still keeps "take1rec.exe" running silently in the background. You'll see it in Windows Task manager.

Het lukt me niet om een opname van een webpagina te maken,de optie werkt hier niet.Alles volgens de gebruiksaanwijzing gedaan maar het scherm om de url in te voeren verschijnt niet.....?

Installatie in het Engels; ik zag geen andere taalinstelling.
Zelf gebruik ik vaak "Debut Video Capture Software", gratis voor eigen gebruik.
Bij de software van vandaag zitten er wat extraatjes bij: oa. vergrootglas en screen/webpage capture.
Als je het programma afsluit blijft het in de system-tray staan. Daar kan het echt worden afgesloten.
Bij de standaardinstelling wordt de muis niet opgenomen (~9Mb)

Dubbelklik in Word lukte dus even niet meer; oorzaak hand of programma of laptop ?
Ik heb soepelere opnames gemaakt, maar dat was op een betere laptop, dual core 2,2Mhz en 4GB met losse 512Video.
Deze opname is gemaakt op single core 3Mhz, 1Gb en gedeeld 64Mb video.
De registratie: invullen van een formulier en men krijgt de code toegestuurd (GMBG-****-2EYM-U**K-***Q), die bij aanvang van de installatie nodig is.

PS: als men toch wilt proberen kan men even de trial bekijken op de site, waar veel staat, of even naar de uitwisselmap van de blog kijken.
