Maybe at Abelssoft headquarter are not aware of the presence of sites like Facebook, Picasa, Dropbox etc... where it's possible to share not only photos but also videos for FREE!!
Besides that there are also FREE tools which do the same as this GAOTD without charging a dime though...

Not all developers deem it necessary to come on here and interact with the GOTD community but today's would be well advised to do so because in the absence of any meaningful information, it has just re-invented the wheel -- and wholly unsuccessfully, too - and would like to charge $20 for it.
As everything Picolino offers has long, long, lonnnnng been available for exactly nothing, Abelssoft might like to explain how its $20 product differs from, say, the freeware Picasa or a host of other free cloud albums too numerous to even begin to count.
In fact: in what way is this seemingly bizarre redundancy different to even a simple upload of family or holiday video to one's gmail account / Google storage?? (Ah. Don't answer that, Abelssoft. Apparently the difference is that Picolino can't actually upload and store any video at all.)
Absent any information that makes any sense on this page, resorting to the Abelssoft website is the only course of action open to a prospective user -- but as nothing of any meaning exists there either, it's yet more time wasted.
At the very least, the developer should be mentioning any maximum upload file size restrictions / display size restrictions that may or may not apply, because on the basis of its own demonstration link:

its full-screen online album can manage images of 425 x 283 pixels at 72pi with a maximum width of less than six inches and a maximum height of less than four inches -- just the thing for all of us here who are using a 14" CRT monitor on an 80286x running Windows for Workgroups.
Until the developer drops by here to explain what this product actually *is*, I'm not going to be the only one to conclude that Abelssoft created Picolino for a release date of April 1st but ran late -- exactly like that obviously unbiased comment from Horst weiss at #3. . .)
I'm not sure why anyone would need a piece of dedicated software, with it's own restrictions, to perform a job that thousands of websites do already for free? I must be missing something.
Even in "full-screen" mode, the user's online pictures will have pathetic small dimensions: 424x283 pixels. Nothing more than a thumbnail :-( (see http://picolino.net/diashow.php?album_id=330)

Installatie programma is in het Engels en Duits.
In het programma zijn ook andere talen te kiezen: Engels, Duits, Spaans, Frna, Hongaars, Pools.
Op deze laptop is onlangs .Net Framework 4.0 Client geïnstalleerd.
Toch vereist dit programma een aanvullende download van .Net, 4 Extended versie van ~40Mb.
Dat de maximale resolutie zo laag is of grootte: dat gebeurt vaker.
Live Essentials/Mail had ook al zoiets: een tiental foto's van 0,5 Mb per stuk, werd in totaal 1Mb.
Bij inzoomen op een foto waren alle details niet meer zichtbaar.
Veel meer online opslagservers hebben dit. Om de foto's op een telefoon te bekijken is dit misschien aanvaardbaar, maar voor mij op een "normaal" beeldscherm is zoiets totaal niet aanvaardbaar.
Daarom gebruik ik voor het delen van foto's Dropbox of Rapidshare of zoiets.

Mmm, programma ziet er goed uit, Picasa vind ik rotzooi, zeker geen optie. De nadelen van Picolino vind ik ook meevallen. Maar... framework 4 en zou het niet nog gemakkelijker zijn om via dropbox een album te kunnen aanbieden? En daar zijn ze momenteel mee bezig... Ik wacht wel even dus.

Kan hier wel een heel verhaal houden over hoe freeware proggies dit beter doen (picasa bijvoorbeeld) maar de pro's en con's van ashraf zeggen het beter. schaamteloos copy/paste gedrag volgt nu

So if you want photos to be truly private on Picolino.net, then use a password

*Has a “freeware” version but the “freeware” version limits you to uploading 50 photos only. You need the “premium” (aka paid) version to be able to upload unlimited photos.
Er werd op de US/Int site gemeld dat er een maximale resolutie op hun site is van 424x283 wat natuurlijk te belachelijk voor woorden is.
mijn conclusie..... afblijven, neem gewoon picasa, kan alles wat dit kan en meer EN is gratis (maar voor googlefoben, dat is wel van google)

leuk programma echter ben ik benieuwt wat je krijgt voor die 19euro daar zitten wat onduidelijkheden over. namelijk je installeert het programma vanaf de website als free user top je kan 2000 foto`s delen.of je installeert het via de giveaway ook top maar je kan nog steeds 2000 plaatjes delen. wat is dan de giveaway actie?.
verder kun je vanuit het programma naar premium kost je dan 10 euro dat scheelt er dan toch weer 9? wel een mooie optie is de pasword beveiliging en zekers in combinatie met andere software( denk hierbij aan een exe in een plaatje te stoppen) afbeelding vervolgens met paswoord delen via de bekende wegen en hopla je software word extra beveiligt doorgegeven.
