Could not install on Win 10 Pro. The GOTD wrapper didn't finish.
But some remarks...
A company without name and address:

I wanted to download the installer directly from their web page:

But they offer still the version 4.0. The company isn't active anyhow, the last blog entry is from April 2012. I would delete the blog or t least update the timestamp. LOL. Makes no good impression:

Actually, this is v5.0. They have released new version of this converter, but haven't update the info on its page.
Same problem as in Version 4.0.
When trying to use Effects, it triggers a pop up error message:
Access violation at address 006BCB4C in module 'uRex Video Converter.exe'. Read of address 00000000.
The program hangs and you have to terminate the program in Task Manager.
If you do not click on the Effects Tab the program works per normal.
The software lacks the ability to rotate the video.
The GOTD version is version 5; the free trial is 4.0:

I could download the ZIP and also installation and registration went smooth.

A week ago I got this software(version 4) from another site and that time it didn't work ; WinXP, Win8.1 and Win10.
There is enough disk-space, output-folder exists and let it run as administrator
Complains againt "thumb down" votes without really trying sw are quite often here. But now it is the opposite case: more positive votes then negative - for a program which often dont install and regularly crashes...

@3 Ootje Kan alleen maar je verhaal bevestigen; ik kan niets converteren met de gotd. "can not write to setup.ini" "can not creating output file" op 3 verschillende computers en 2 verschillende Os's. Ik ga niet proberen om het ding te laten werken, er zijn betere alternatieven.

Bij de tekst van About is niet te lezen, dat het programma geregistreerd is. In keuzes van het menu is de optie van register grijs geworden.

Na het laden van een bestand en het aangeven van een uitvoerformaat, mislukt de omzetting:

Een week geleden had ik deze converter(versie 4?) bij een andere aanbieder opgehaald en daarmee lukte het ook niet om een film te laten omzetten; de zelfde foutmelding. Zowel niet in een virtuele XP, als een echte Win10 en een echte Win8.1.
Dezelfde foutmelding.
Eens kijken of dit bij meerdere gebruikers optreedt.
Dan later op de dag nog eens een test uitvoeren.
